Who we are

PDF Text Replace (“we”, “the service”) is a free web application that lets you find and replace text inside PDF files in your browser. This policy explains what data is processed when you use pdfreplace.com or affiliated domains that point to the same application.

PDF files you upload

When you use the editor, your PDF is transmitted to our servers over HTTPS (TLS encryption). The file is stored temporarily so our software can render pages, locate text, and build a downloadable result. Temporary copies are deleted automatically within approximately one hour after upload. We do not sell PDF contents, we do not use your document to train machine-learning models, and we do not build marketing profiles from the text inside your files.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

The site is funded in part by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. Those vendors process data under their own policies. You can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You may control ad personalisation in your Google account settings or through industry opt-out tools where available.

Google Analytics (gtag)

We may use Google Analytics tags to understand aggregate traffic (for example which pages load and approximate geography). Analytics receives events from your browser; it is not given the raw text you type into find-and-replace fields as part of that product integration.

Logs and security

Like most web servers, we may keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, error codes) for reliability and abuse prevention. These logs are not a substitute for long-term file storage and are rotated or deleted according to operational need.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data. Because we minimise stored identifiers, there may be little to retrieve after your session ends. Contact us using the address on the Contact page for privacy requests; we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. Do not upload documents containing children’s personal information unless you have lawful authority to process that data.

Changes

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The “last updated” date at the bottom reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
